Oct. 4/5, 2008 Kids 6-18 years of age 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. $100 for the weekend
Our 2 day kids camp consist of the following:
1) Educational
Class Here students learn about different things ranging from nutrition, the origan of horses, grooming,
how indians used horses and what the war paint meant (this class also includes paint an indian pony), the differences between
different disaplines just to give you an idea of what your child will learn.
2) Basic Riding Here the students learn basic horse back riding skills. This will include proper hand postion on the
reins, how to move the horse forward and stop the horse, Children ride both days for a minimum of 1 hour each day and unless
the child has a restriction, the child will ride a several horses during the camp giving them more exposure to different types
of horse as well as confidence.
3) Arts & Crafts Here your student will have
a chance to have some fun making a veriety of items ranging from horsey magnets, leather items, key chains, and the like.
These classes can include painting, glueing, lacing leather products, working with paper, stamps, ink, feathers and glue so
please let us know of any alergies.
We ask that you please make sure your child is wearing cloths that can
become dirty!!!!

Nov. 1st, 2008 Adults 18 and Over 8:00 a.m. till 2 p.m. $50 per person
The Adult Camp will cover the following information
1)
Catching & Grooming & Tacking Basics of catching a horse in a stall and pasture, grooming
tools and technics, as well as hands on grooming. Tacking will include both English and Western and there will be verious
bits and other items discribed and demonstrated plus anyone wanting to tack a horse up will have the opertunity.
2) Nutrition Basic nutrition including verious types of hay including their
proteen levels and then supplemental feed and vitamins that may be required. This section will include what happens
when horses are not fed correctly and the damage it can cause.
3) Riding Basic riding instruction in both English and Western riding. How to sit correctly, proper hand postion
and how to make the horse move off of preasure. Horses will be provided for this session.
Camp
will last about 6 hours. We will have a short break for a quick lunch (please bring your own lunch).
Staff will be available at the end of the camp to ask specific questions you might have after you have completed all
stations.
